Meet Andrea

Hi, I’m Andrea Jackson, LICSW, LCSW, PMH-C, founder of Cardinal Hope and Healing LLC. I provide virtual therapy for adults navigating trauma recovery, perinatal mental health and birth trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I have specialized training in trauma recovery and perinatal mental health, and I tailor therapy to each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

As a Black woman, first-generation college graduate, and therapist with over nine years of experience, I understand how easily caring for others, meeting expectations, and managing life’s responsibilities can leave little room for your own needs. I also recognize that difficult experiences can affect both your emotional well-being and how you experience stress in your body.

My approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and practical. Together, we’ll create space to understand what you’ve been through, build on your strengths, and move toward greater clarity, connection, and emotional well-being.

My Therapy Specialties

Complex Trauma & Relational Healing

Early childhood experiences can continue to affect adult relationships, self-esteem, boundaries, and daily life long after they occur.

Together, we'll work to understand the survival patterns that once helped you cope, build healthier relationships and boundaries, and reconnect with the person you want to be.

My Approach to Therapy

I blend warmth and compassion with structured, evidence-based tools. No single approach works for everyone. I look at your unique history, identities, and strengths to tailor our sessions to your exact goals and pace.

  • CBT & CPT (Cognitive Therapies)
To help you understand how your experiences shape the way you think, feel, and respond, so you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
To help you make room for difficult emotions, reduce the struggle against them, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

  • Trauma-Informed, Mind-Body Approaches
To help reduce the effects of chronic stress, strengthen your sense of grounding, and support healing by addressing both the emotional and physical impact of difficult experiences.
